Open a Window: Thoughts on Scene

"Now, what is it which makes a scene interesting?
If you see a man coming through a doorway, it means nothing.
If you see him coming through a window--that is at once interesting." --Billy Wilder

Just a tidbit of inspiration for those who might be focusing on scene this upcoming week (like I plan to do :-). Happy rest of the weekend to all who happen to stop by...

  1. Hmmm... Of course I'm thinking, "Now where can I use this?"

Thanks, as usual, for starting me thinking.

  2. It's interesting how one very small change, from door to window, can make a world of difference. Sometimes that's all it takes. Happy Scene writing to you this week :)

  7. That is an interesting quote. In a similar vein, I tend to get where I want to go in life, but I've always considered my success to have been accomplished by "going in through the back door." Interesting stories could be written using this concept as well.
