Thoughts This Mother's Day

"You may have tangible wealth untold,
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be--
I had a mother who read to me."
                                                                                                          --Strickland Gillilan

Celebrating mom...AND...mothers who read to their children...anyone who reads to children...the value of reading to children*...the added benefits of snuggling when reading to the little ones...the pure joy of reading to little ones.

Wish we could spread more of it around, don't you?  :-)

Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

  1. Love the statue and I LOVE reading with my little one. Nothing is more fun that doing voices, getting laughs and snuggling. It's been such a gift to be a mother. Happy Mothers Day!

  3. Ah yes, I loved to read with my children, and now enjoy reading with my grandson. Books are a wonderful way to connect and learn. What would we do without them? Probably tell stories we made up I suppose. :)

I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day!
