I like the baby-birthing comparison. To me,...Hmm... I like the baby-birthing comparison. To me, the writing process is every bit as painful (in a very different way) as having a baby. Writers agonize over every word to the extent that cutting one (or, usually, many more than one) is very difficult. And just as the birth is easy compared to the many years of rearing a child, so the "what if" is just the beginning. Once I've what-iffed myself into a new story line, I have to answer that question!<br /><br />50 ideas?
